Edgar Allan Poe has always been one of my favorite poets. He is often remembered for his darker, macabre poems and short stories, but he was also a man of great sentimentality and romantic fervor, as exhibited in the three poems “A Dream within a Dream,” “Hymn,” and “To M.L.S.”
